| This idea is great for creating a
soothing and relaxing environment in your child's room and best of all
it's so easy to do!
Material's and Tools Needed:
- Various seashells
- Organza Ribbon, soft pastel green and blue
- Curtain rod (iron style used here)
- Drill
- 1/4" drill bit
- Measuring tape
Step one: Start by measuring the length of your window and
cutting various sizes of ribbon to hang from your rod. Be sure to allow
approximately 3 inches for tying onto rod.
Step two: Drill a small hole in each seashell at the top.
Be sure to take into consideration the direction you want the shells to
hang. The yardage of ribbon used depends on how dense you want the
treatment to be and window size. Shells can be hung at varying
lengths or all even, the choice is yours.
Step three: Thread your ribbon through the hole in the shell
and tie a knot. Tie the other end of ribbon onto your curtain rod.
Viola'
.... now wait for that perfect summer night to leave the window open and
hear the gentle breeze rock the shells in a soothing tone. A great wind
chime to put them to sleep! |
